Endless Thoughts Sleeping

Endless Thoughts Sleeping

A Poem by Michael Thrower
"

A poem was the closest thing I could categorize this as.

"

My mind is so full of wonder and curiosity.

Chasing after the knowledge one already knows.

I want to see the world.

There has to be more than broken buildings,

Steaming of cold, chocking, smoke.

Always on a search for truth.

If you’re sensible, you understand that you’ve already found it.

My mind seems like a vortex.

I can’t even begin to control my thoughts,

And put them into any sort of words.

I feel more than I think.

Is it that hard to put feelings into words,

When you don’t even know what you’re feeling?

I listen to a song I really like,

And think of how I wish I could create something that powerful.

Scenes, feelings, pictures, and thoughts float and spiral through my mind.

Why can’t I write them?

Silence is the loudest of music,

Feelings create symphony,

And thoughts are now lyrics.

But of a language not even I can comprehend.

I’m reading a book called The Name of the Wind.

Oh how the Ruh sound like my family,

Without divorce.

I have keen scenes in my mind of beauty.

Why can I not paint a picture for others to see?

The effort only tends to be a glimpse.

I love writing.

Sometimes I feel very connected and well into my words.

But I can never seem to reach my full.

I can never seem to say what is so bold on my mind.

What I see is a beautiful girl.

She sits alone on a grassy hill under the night sky.

Stars are bright and many.

A blue-tint covers this picture.

It feels so alone, yet warm.

I see a grassy meadow with a large tree full of leaves.

It is daytime and a young boy leans against its trunk, reading.

Like Frodo’s opening in the Fellowship of the Ring.

I miss her so much.

Though she’s just left.

But this is true love.

A gift to the blessed.

I honestly don't see this as a piece of work what-so-ever, but I felt the need to write some stuff out a bit and get my mind awake a little. So instead of imprisoning it in my saved files, I decided to post it on here. Here's a little insight on what goes through my mind on the usual basis.

this is really good. Wow I was in your shoes, and mine at the same time. No this is certainly a piece of work. Don't try to use your head too much when you write, feel it, thats how you distill emotion. If its messy and scattered, well what isn't. You seemed to be making a lot of sense towards the end there...I know that girl too.
Thanks for letting us get to know you a little bit.

I always like the way you word your poetry. I can see you sitting there thinking this and having to get it down. Never usual I shouldn't think.

Wow, I actually disagree this is a piece of work. I can too agree about having thousands of thoughts going on at once. Aha.
My favorite stanza:
"Silence is the loudest of music
Feelings create symphony
And thoughts are now lyrics
But of a language not even I can comprehend."

Outstanding! :)

Well I can easily say my mind has random thoughts on a minute to minute basis. That is why sometimes I can't complete a story or a poem. XD But this to me makes complete sense. There are a vast amount of emotions and perhaps desires (not physical ones) that pour through you and you express them well.
