Love and LustA Poem by Michael ThrowerReal conflicts going on.His heart torn in two Between love and lust Never had he thought This day would come
Desires as hot as burning steel But love as great as the ocean Divided between worldly emotions His heart replaced with blackened sorrow
Love should always be first and last But this lust, like a poison, was taking him fast Nowhere to turn, nowhere to run He took the sorrow and pain instead
One day he spent with his lover That spark in her eyes The warmth of her heart That love he treasured Awakened his mind once again
Bound by sin and negativity His heart melted away the chains The fire of love was there once again He knew from the start which would win in the end. © 2014 Michael ThrowerAuthor's Note
