Dreams

Dreams

A Poem by Michael Thrower
"

Are we really just living moments within our minds, or do we escape the world and take to the skies?

"

I’ve bade the moon a well “Good-Bye”

And left the world within my mind.

I carried secrets far away

Into the stars I made my way.

Left behind all pain and sorrow

Flew across the broken morrow

To the sunset I could so see

There’s more to learn from mystery.

Without a doubt I fell from sky

Wingless, I learned to fly

Soaring over broad horizons

Feeling the warmth of Light.

The Sun rose high into the sky

Woken up by warm surroundings

This dream of mine…

To this day my heart’s still pounding.

This is really a marvellous poem with such a flamboyant touch in the verses and beatific in yhe diction which carries the reader to your very dream which seems so bright and with new challenges. I lovesd the way you have penned it. The image is quite impeccable for this piece as well. Lovely write. Thanks for sharing!!

Very kind review! Thank YOU for your time :)
I love this. It's very other worldly. A journey away from the physical to a kinder place of dreams.

A very unique and imaginative poem, and one that leaves the door open for interpretation or deep reflection at the least. I've read it a few times, and different images have come to mind with each reading. Great work :)

This is a wonderful, wonderful poem. I read the review on the bottom and frankly speaking, I did not perceive the idea you were trying to put across board, because the way you put this poem forward meant something entirely different to me. Especially these lines
*To the sunset I could so see,
There’s more to learn from mystery.*
Totally mystifying.
Hope to read more of you. :D
