u-turn: another way to look at religion

... u were borne orphaned from Ecstasy
into this lower realm: just one of the inching worms
dreaming of Beatification; u
would love to make a u-turn back to Divinity, but
having misplaced ur chrysalis, u can only
chant magical phrases,
like Circe luring ulysses back into the pigsty ...

Interesting take on religion here. Yes, it seems we continue to long for the lost Eden and tread some rough roads in the hope of returning. Formal religion is just one of those roads. Remember, though, the pigsty was just a detour, and Ulysses did finally return home. I say light whatever torch seems to illuminate the way for you.
