Land Of Misfits

Land Of Misfits

A Poem by Michael Lopez
"

Dont fall into society...

"

Photobucket

TV. being a puppet for the states.

The government gave me life.

My family are robots given to me by the state.

They come and go,

from their jobs.

They have programmed them well.

This country is being destroyed.

By politicians not terrorism.

They have their elections at our expense.

Want to be free.

Don’t fall into society.

What has happened to this place we call home.

Want an average life.

Go be your parents.

Have a dull and boring life.

Resume the bullshit and take their place.

Sitting in the oval office in my head.

Realizing the government uses us like tools.

In my cubicle I sit and laugh seeing what I've become.

Watching the sunset once again.

Living in my pathetic little life I call home.

Clash of the titans.

Good against evil.

I don’t know the outcome of the two.

Hoping I will survive.

Personally I don't like mixing politics and poetry - that being said I think what you have written is good. I am not going to say much more than that on this one. Not that there is anything I would change, this is a me problem and not anything to do with your poem.
