SleepWalking

written on the fly....

Living with the time,

that doesn't seem so right.

That I don't have the power,

so my emotions stay silent.

 

Choosing to sleep while I'm awake.

Keeps me from improving this sickening situation.

Where everything seems to be falling apart.

That my only future seems grim,

with my broken heart to mend.

That I don't even want to take another step.

Heh, it's feels good to review again... I found this poem to be very surreal. It was deep and yet, so emotional... I've come to realize that, yes, there is a difference between deep and emotional. In the poem, I have a feeling that the main emotion that (ironically) seems to pop out is apathy, which I find to be very amazing.

Ah a broken heart affects time in a not so good way. its funny how certain events in our lives can almost put us in a state of sleep. I like the feeling that came across in your writting.
