Cascades

Cascades

A Poem by Michael Lopez
"

the morning sun in darkness

"

The clouds blankets sky,

while I play in the rain.

As the moon shines,

In the morning lite.

I drift off into a dream,

Hoping not to slip into reality.

As the adolescence rush,

goes straight to my head.

The window breathes cold crisp air.

That make my hairs stand on edge.

With you taking me to this place in my head.

But this life turns,

My dream to a nightmare.

The moments cascade,

And I lose to the heartache and pain.

That my heart turns to dust,

The clouds just span across a violet sky like ink blots.

Just as the sun rises,

To blaze for the day.

Hi Michael, Thanks for the request. This one speaks to me of disappointed realities that tend to slap you in the face when you least expect it. Especially when it happens so brutally as portrayed in your poem here. Nice imagery... alisa ;-)
