Eye Of The Beholder

Eye Of The Beholder

A Poem by Michael Lopez
"

spin me right round baby...

"

Here I sit.

Lingering...

In my dwelling sadness.

That the tears dry so slowly.

Watching life pass on by...

That I realize.

Sooner than later...

That my troubled heart has stumbled.

These shadows fall upon me.

Making me die inside...

That I can't go back to her.

And the beholder is laughing in my eye...

So this heart fades to black.

A sad poem and I like the title. I like how you made the beholder laughing, its makes everything darker. Well written!
