Deep Reckoning

Deep Reckoning

A Poem by Michael Lopez
"

My soul searching madness...

"

Deep reckoning of the soul.

The sowings of the reaper.

Diving into my darkness.

I find no light of mine.

With this bleeding heart,

leaking with pain.

Wanting to leave myself.

I take the plunge.

Just another way.

To make it all go away.

To go some place far away.

Only to awaken another day.

I find it hard to believe.

As the vision leaves my eye.

I clench my heart and weep in sorrow.

Why would I want this.

The fleeting moments of the rush.

Like falling from the sky in a dream.

Am I the only one who sees.

Now, this one seems more organized. It's got a great flow and rhyme. A classic poem. :) Honestly, your poems remind me of Linkin Park's music; a lot of it is the same, but you never cease to amaze me! Seriously, your writing is really super cool, mainly because it sounds so authentic-- as if you felt it before. ;)

Eternally Yours.
