Nuclear Winter

Nuclear Winter

A Poem by Michael Lopez
"

Suberbian fallout...

"

The cold is fierce.

Nestled between the factories,

in industrial region.

There sits a urban neighborhood.

Seperated only by the plumes of pollution.

As the deer and vultures forage for nothing.

The leaves begin to fall from grace.

As the fallout settles.

The nuclear winter begins.
