A fatal shadow with stealth movements.

Japanese castles with cherry blossoms,

drifting in snow.

The sounds of  wolves,

howling in a forest of bamboo.

With smells of burnt wood,

as I follow their tracks.

Enemies unknown with limited options.

Preceding my surroundings with caution.

My life is not my own.

I am my master's blade.

I have no voice and only one chance.

I live in the darkness.

You will never know i am here.

Spills of crimson as cold steel taste flesh.

The only sound you will hear,

is your last dying breath.

I am...

The angel of death

and I've come for your life.

this is awesome!!!! I love this one so much!!! there's a lot of feeling in it and your words painted such a great picture in my head! This is an amazing poem. It kind of reminded me of the anime Naruto. I'm really into anime. Anyways, great job, and I hope to see more! :)

I really love this poem even though I have absolutely no idea about who the Tencha assasins are and it really doesn't matter because you drew me into your subject. I loved everything until the last lines...they rhyming was a little disappointing, especially when you that's the only place in the poem where you employ that device as obviously.

"My life is not my own.
I am my master's blade.
I have no voice and only one chance.
I live in the darkness."

These lines were just magnificient.

Wow this is a great poem! ^_^ I love the picture you painted. It makes you feel like you are there, watching the whole thing from the sidelines. Almost like you are the turmoil within that person. Thanks for sharing! Great write!

I don't often make suggestions but I think your ending line needs a little something - I would suggest adding the word claim - come to claim life - it is a little more harsh, a little more definitive (in my opinion) but again you are the artist and I hope I do not over step my bounds.

I really thought this piece was great to capture the images of the character as the music inspires you to assemble a most excellent piece. Great piece of work!
