Military Mindstate

Military Mindstate

A Poem by Michael Fernandez
"

R.I.P. to my brotha from the west!

"

Death before Dishonour -

A code to forever live by,

Protection of name and faith,

Many values we hold so close,

The very items we fought to keep -

Only to be destroyed by the tyrants of evil,

With boots on the line,

Rifles are recommissioned for all out warfare,

A trail of resistance is known by the mere mention of our names,

Twisted and transformed by the liars and hypocrites,

Our very way of life - gone forevermore,

Forced into fleeing the insanity of a corrupt population,

Within history our victory - personal as it is - will be erased,

Replaced with a functioning unit of deceit,

Man-made virus;

Injected into our dying veins,

Pools of crimson soon turn into scarlet ice,

Halting the very essence of truth to be heard…

Author's Note

Michael Fernandez
Rest In Peace to my brotha to the west - Christopher Dorner, who was burned alive in a ski resort cabin by the LAPD, accused of three killings, after a week-long manhunt the LAPD finally found him in the San Bernardino Mountains, the LAPD burned him out, the charred remains were "positively ID'd" earlier. So, my brotha, Rest In Peace, you got supporters who know your innocence...And, we'll carry your legacy. "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere." - Martin Luther King Jr.

Fantastic poem, although the dedication of sorts will likely come across as much too edgy for some people. I personally agree with you though, so that's a non-issue. Incidentally, did they actually positively ID the body? I heard they just burned a hostage or something.
As for the poem, I think you've given Dorner a very suitable memorial here. Well done.

Yeah, they said they got him. A damn shame.
