Aethereal

Aethereal

A Poem by Michael Fernandez

He stood "

Overlooking Earth’s divine waterfall,

That flowed upon the celestial winds,

Into the clouded death throes of another god,

A final breath,

And a leap of faith,

The rivers twisted and coiled around his body,

With a tight grip,

With a firm grip,

He casted himself out unto the dying world.

Broken, torn, a crimson drought "

The reflection of a universe born anew,

Cold chains ripped from their aphotic shelters,

Echoes of dying life "

Silenced,

Laughter from a single babe,

Emulated throughout the lonely vapor,

Not unlike the heartbeat of a decaying pulsar,

The tendrils of another world let loose the man,

Whose heartbeat begun to spark once again.
