A Poem by Michael Fernandez

The gaseous vapor,

Erupting from the endless void,

Blanketed the region that was once clouded by stars,

Chaining its prisoners from any means of escape,

Their bellowing cries for help echoed throughout,

Mistaken to be ambient winds "

Their arms reaching out for God’s Holy Hand,

Mistaken to be natural movements "

Their world was nearly limitless,

And yet "

They could never explore it,

The celestial winds swirled and twisted,

Another volley of screams "

And Heaven’s Congregation dies once again.

This poem was breathtakingly beautiful. It's so descriptive, and it was so enjoyable to read. Very good job :-)
