Finite

Finite

A Poem by Michael Fernandez

The waves crash against me,
Beginning at the end of the winding road,
Staring out at the endless sea,
Visions flash once more in a violent episode.

God only knows ‘why’,
Despite my beliefs; I try to pray,
Soon enough " we all ‘die’,
Go through the light " find a way.

The footsteps left behind,
Will soon be washed away with the ages,
But forever apart of my dying mind,
Its scary being in the spotlight of Life’s many stages.

Another sigh of relief,
How long will the peace last,
My time on Earth is seemingly too brief,
Given the sands of time " we all pass.
