Dreams

Dreams

A Chapter by Michael Costello
"

This was NOT my dream. Just a s****y poem I have made off of one of Edgar Allen Poe's Poems.

"
I have had a dream on the latter night,
A dream or horror, ambrosia, and despair.
Heart-racing like a New Yorker's Fight,
With a will to survive a depression.

A nightmare it may be, but a favorite, maybe.
It may be the best nightmare I have ever had.
With words dripping with honey and sugar,
I write this poem out to an audience like you.
It could soon become a play-write, or a song.

I have had a dream on the latter night,
A dream or horror, ambrosia, and despair.
Heart-racing like a New Yorker's Fight,
With a will to survive a depression.
