Sudden Lights and Dark TunnelsA Chapter by Michael CostelloMy first Poem of many....
When the sudden light comes,
Towards you at the end of a tunnel; a tunnel many years long and wide, Embrace the light, for it is unavoidable. It comes, do not hate, for this is your end. Bless the time you have gained and curse That time that has been wasted or disposed. Rage the man who caused you this death, For he will end up on the other side of the wall. The wall divides joyous affection and dark hatred, A wall that divides the good and bad, the loved and hated. And when we are divided by that wall, dont wish differently, That you could have done everything differently, For this is the way it is, and the way it'll stay. When the sudden light comes,
Towards you at the end of a tunnel; a tunnel many years long and wide, Embrace the light, for it is unavoidable. © 2012 Michael CostelloAuthor's Note
