City By The Sea.

City By The Sea.

A Poem by Michael

Embrace the meanings behind the clever memories often referred by love, trusting in the feelings sinking deeper into the city by the sea. Suppressing the understanding of hearts bled dry as a sacrifice towards the night, ignoring the shallow graves of beauty overthrown by the moonlight. As restless as we are, we will remain nameless if not for each other, we will surely become nothing more. It might as well be it best as perhaps these days fail within the hours of dusk, what never was may be able to find its way through the trouble of past beyond the imperfections of a lost prayer, or simply remain.
It was then when I realized a picture unseen, a story that has yet to be written, the empty promises leading Into a path I have almost forgotten. The slight variations of emotions conflicting with steps of a humble man wanting nothing more than to spend a lifetime searching for the light, beyond the city by the sea. The cruelty within such theories is that once before this darkness plagued the corridors of our homes, we were never broken. Has it been so far a distance from thought to believe that I never sought to voyage beyond the gates of our city but rather discovered a light within you.
The steady pace of life deceived us both im afraid, if our love was more than the angels in the skies could manage to whisper In plots to steal the light from within our hearts then why would they not take you as well. I should have known better, if only I could break the bond between the world above this city by the sea I could find you once more. As it seems after all of our time together was not nearly enough to explain the vastness of my love. It was not mistaken to say I didn't try.
