Something More.

Something More.

A Poem by Michael

It wasn't the way she danced in the rain, with an elegant sway provided beauty to the lost, seeking refuge within a moment of love. Providing a promise to always discover a way to value the warmth of a smile, ensuring the worsts of the day have come to pass. It was the way she handled the conviction of a gentle heart in humble hands, with only the concerns of happiness in mind. Perhaps it was the sunshine of the morning, barely settling down onto the pastures of hills as continuous as the layers of beauty she wears without a notice.
It wasn't until my attention was diverted when I realized how magnificent the mountains view overshadowed a sign stating, "you never have to chase what wants to stay." Lost within a moment of complete control of these conflicting emotions towards subtle differences, I would rather wash away the distance between the vastness of reappearing lines blending into an interesting story of what our sentence would never contain.
Picturing the frames of our love in reference as a life reflected by time. Positioning the world as if in perfect balance with the exception of rest, these weary eyes have witnessed the creation of a dream beyond the imperfections of a night wasted on words. It might have been the emptiness in her eyes or the feelings of just maybe, beneath the path leading into the surface of her smile could create a change and dissolve this heart into something more.
If it wasn't for the moment misinterpreted as purity through lavish innocence, the world might have taken notice and subjected this love as kindness. If only she knew the reality of such concepts, the steps she takes towards an angelic grace has gradually shook the foundations of reason. I have now become nothing if not a small cavity within the divisions of a shattered heart, a reflection im afraid would steal a breath from happiness only time could sustain.
As it would seem, my only reason for believing in anything at all was just not nearly enough to maintain a smile in desperate times, until the rain gave you all that I was. Washing away the imprints of a past obscured by a vision that has lost sight in us. It wasn't the way she danced in the rain, it was the way she welcomed the darkness as an awareness of what's to come. Perhaps in another time I would have joined the freedom of conscience, thoughtful and sincere. As for now, I will enjoy the moment of love without a personal connection, with little words, with lack of judgment. Just love.
