Betty #2

Betty #2

A Poem by Michael "Little Bear" Williams
"

Honest

"
I awoke very early,
     with such nice thoughts.
As I turned to see your face...
     You were gone.
I sat up,
     it was raining,
          very little light.
Through the window,
     I could see your car,
          but you were gone.
As I walked through the house,
     I saw no sign.
Out the back door...
     I saw you,
          in the side yard,
               slowly dancing,
                    splashing in the rain.
Your dress,
     soaking wet.
Your hair,
     soaking wet.
I watched,
     I smiled.
You saw me,
     you smiled.
I held you...
     we danced...
          I laughed...
               you cried.
                    We feel in love.
I think of you,
     in the Spring,
          when it rains.
