Maybe I’ll Hang on TooA Poem by Seshat Nidabafor AnneUnder the cold blue sky I gaze With so much creation all around me I feel nearly monotonous or obsolete
A soul in a material playground, lost In the ambition and greed of your ways I must not protest, or protect myself too much
Since to be alive, is primarily a joyous thing A sensation of immersion, a feeling of virtual
incarnation And to think after the long freeze
I can still inhabit my centre again! I can still meditate while smiling And love without possessing
To think that all of this is real and not-real The leaves they cling to our bones Memories like dew melt into the grass
But we were watchers on this fabulous journey Martyrs who loved the world too much And from the green stuff of spying spring
Our hearts’ burst immortal on the scene And we lend delight and healing for coming days. © 2013 Seshat NidabaReviews
