The Brown Wood

The Brown Wood

A Story by Rosencrantz

He's gone.

Went up east as far as he could.

Writes fiction on a penny skipping lane somewhere in New Jersey.

Last I heard he was on a conquest to seek god.

Became a lumber-jack a few years back.

Would wake up at 2:34am with a pack of cigarettes and coffee.

Got married.

Got a divorce.

Lives in a apartment in New Zealand, with a wine cellar.

Paints for a living.

Hates it.

He only wears argyle.

Yeah, thats what I head too.

What a shame.

Very nice. I like that it's quick and to the point. Part poem, part story, it's definitely the best of both worlds. As someone that writes music, I must say that if you added in a chorus, it'd make a great country song.
