Only By the Moonlight

Only By the Moonlight

A Poem by Em
"

Dont ever go out at night

"

Only By the Moonlight

Only by the moonlight,

can we poor folk go walking through.

The woods that gaurd the village,

 that always looks brand new.

Only by the moon light,

can a little lass like me

Find a gruesome sight upon the ground

that had me shaking like a leaf.

Only by the moonlight,

could his razors claw like hand.

Come upon my tiny arm

and mark it like a brand.

Only by the moonlight,

did his mangy puss covered fur.

Did I finally open my small frail mouth

to only scream 'Monsieur'

Only by the moonlight,

could anyone really see.

That with my small young self

did this monster go on a killing spree.

Fantastic job you've done here. The rhyming is clever.
After reading - i couldn't guess what the monster is or why he was killing anything.
Until i took a look at your title-and then the repeated first stanza - only by the moonlight,
Monster is a werewolf?
As for what it represents.... That i have no clue....
