Broken Souls

Update I am still sad

Two of the most broken hearted souls met one day

Both hearts, blackened and hurt, found each other

Long ago a man with fire in his eyes tore her apart

Long ago a woman with a mad brain tore him to shreds

They both swore to never love again.

When they met they had walls, to keep them safe

After a while they found comfort inside of each other's broken hearts

But when you get hurt once you convince yourself it will never change.

She was absolutely beautiful, her mind was a garden of flowers

But no matter how hard he tried he could only see the worst in her

He was so special, no one she ever met was like him

But no matter how hard she tried she was scared of him

These two broken hearts wanted to love and be loved so bad

However before you can love a new, you must heal the past.

Author's Note

Before you can learn to love a new person I think you should heal yourself from the hurt you once felt. Sometimes it is best if you just forgive and forget rather then let them ruin something that could have been beautiful. I am not a good poet but I do enjoy writing and I hope you enjoy reading.
