For A Sinner Or A Saint

For A Sinner Or A Saint

A Poem by Mia Rockwell
"

Not my best work

"
A sinner like me has no free chance.
No chance for that last dance that could cause true love.
A love so lively there's no time to breathe.

Believe me I have regrets. Big debts.
Nothing left for me to lose though.
Just part of this earths flow of life.
So get that knife out of your back.
Stop thinking of a revenge attack.

People will come and go.
Friends will fade away.
What matters is finding a reason to live another day.
A mothers hug.
Being barefoot catching lightning bugs.
That last piece of grandma's fudge is just enough to keep on going in this earths flow.

I'm still a sinner. I know.
But people come and go.
You don't have to be part of my free flow.
Find your own to travel.
Dirt, water or gravel there's a trail for you to make.
There you'll find a real happiness so you don't have to fake it anymore.

Sinner or Saint.
You still have a chance.

I like this poem, it's quite heavy handed but I think the message is a good one. Everyone can be a sinner but they can also be a saint and it's how you adapt to change. Great stuff. I look forward to reading more.
