Subtle Hints

Subtle Hints

A Poem by Mia Rockwell

If I went missing, how fast would you notice?

I know we haven't always been the closest...but would you care?

Would you care enough to search for me?

Would you have any clue as to where I may be?

How close do you listen to what I say?

Do you remember what I told you that one day?

We were talking and talking for hours and more...
...But I had lied to you. I'm sorry.

You see during that conversation I was curled in a ball crying on the floor.

I didn't want to tell you for fear of what you may think

But now that I have disappeared, it's you my dear who holds the missing link.

Think hard of what I said. I gave subtle hints in my speech.

Think as hard as you can before I slip out of your reach...

very good and emotive. I lost my way in the middle a little but I LOVE the beginning and wonder of all my friends who would care enough?
