Words of mass destruction

Words of mass destruction

A Poem by Mia
"

Lies are naughty...don’t you know!!!

"

He should have told you, you’re beautiful

Then you’d know...and they couldn’t use it against you

How can you not see the truth?

Mirrors and eyes don’t lie. unless. You let them

What did they say to blur your vision?

Let me burn my finger tips

Catching the candle wax before it hits your cornea

All is not lost

Self-esteem is how you see yourself

Through the words of others

Look through my words

You my friend are a pulchritudinous goddess

And their sticks and stones

And words

And jealousy

Can’t change that. unless. you let them

Sticks and stones...blah blah blah...whoever said it first needs to be tortured and then shot! This is for my friend (let’s call her friend ~.^) and anyone else whose made a habit out of listening to lies about your beauty and worth.
