Feeling loved

Love is not heard...it's felt

Tell me that you love me

Why? You already know

I want to hear you say it

So it can bring you comfort?

Or something of the sort

 

Tell me that you love me

No, you already know

I need to hear you say it

It won’t make you feel it any more

You have no way of knowing

 

I won’t tell you that I love you

You must already know

It not something you hear

Or even understand

 

I tell you that I love you

In everything I do.

It’s not something that I say to you

No words could get across

 

You see it in my actions

The way I look at you

I won’t tell you that I love you

You can’t feel it through my words.

I love this! There's a real magic about your words.. a happiness of phrases .. not a misery in sight .. and okay, you need hear those magic words, but pretty sure you know they're there. Maybe, just maybe if he's read your wonderful poem and seen the picture .. (which sadly i can't see) he'll keep telling you those magic words over and over and over until youre sick of them!

Clever form used here, like the format, good use of italics .. thought i'd better say something about the actual writing not merely its emotions!

I think everyone loves to be told they are loved...he just wanted me to know his love (the action) is more important than the words 'I love you'.

While I agree that actions do speak louder than words, sometimes it is nice to hear it out loud. Just incase we forget to pay attention to the actions sometimes.

I loved how this started as a back and forth conversation and then turned into a sweet melody of lovely words. :)
