Only a Dream

Only a Dream

A Poem by Mindy

I lay here at night with your arms around my waist.

Your fingers laced through mine,

Our legs entangled.

It’s been two hours since sleep took ahold of you, yet your tongue I still can taste.

Your touch lingers,

I’m in a dream.

I’m in a dream where my life gets very simple.

I wake, sleep, dream, live for you.

I am entranced.

Every day I live is a day that becomes more blissful.

We have a beautiful family,

I am so blessed.

Every morning I wake is more cheerful.

We attend church on Sundays,

I am so thankful.

There isn’t an evening I spend hostile.

We watch the sun go down,

I am content.

Every night we make love.

Love so beautiful, could only be a dream.

Now I wake up, for it was, only a dream.
