Poem River

Poem River

A Poem by J Craig Melia
"

Ever flowing....

"

Well sprung deep,
Of Earthy sleep,
An ancient dream,
A stream.

Brook babbling foams,
Smoothes cobbled stones,
White washed clean,
A stream.

Through leafy shade,
Gentle cascade,
Through shadows gleam,
A stream.

And waters meet,
Quick hearts beat,
The poem is,
A stream.

I love the imagery in this poem. I could hear the "Brook babbling". It's very tranquil. I enjoyed reading this.

Excellent usage of a simile! It paints a very realistic picture of a place that can carry your mind away.... Put your mind and soul at ease.... Not too much else to say, you said it all with your words!
