Moment of an AuntA Poem by MgouldNew moments are created when your nephew is born.Amber light caresses him, Now melting upon my skin. His silence a valley, Which I slowly ride within, Side by side with you my new kin.
As fresh eyes now lay closed, My heart falls open, so exposed. A quiet peace descends, Now my darling as you doze, Dream your sweet dream while the wind blows.
Dawn knocks gently on our door, But my soul heeds only your snore. Like a statue I stay, So unwilling to explore, But the day has much more in store.
Our moment stretches and stirs Your tiny body now wanting hers Our silent contract filled, As I now wait for the blur, Until our moment reoccurs. © 2017 MgouldAuthor's Note
