Seeking...A Poem by Mgfos2My God is there a mountain that I can see You Could Your voice whisper in my ear By just Your confirmation of Your people I am reassured of Your presence You answer my prayers day and night My God, if I remove the millstone of my flesh that I shouldn’t be hindered in my request of You I excite and get anxious to see You, to see Your face my God, for no one has seen Your face but You request of me to seek You my God, to seek Your face Should I strive in vain, No God, for the journey is sweet, sweeter than the quest to heaven by my works For the fruit of merit is deceiving and though beautiful to behold is a rotting deception in my heart Take me on Your journey give me of Your love Let me not despise my brothers, but give me the Grace to love my brother first and then the outsider For what good is it for me to love an outsider but despise my brother in my heart? Shall not the house crumble in which I set my belongings, the very belongings that You by Your love, have given me In this I have sinned and isolated myself from Your love, how then can I hear You, how then can I seek Your face, if I do not seek the fellowship with Your people my God I call You Father, because You have redeemed me by Your precious Son’s blood, the blood that justified me while I was yet a sinner, while I have fell, and strived to the bottom My prayer my God, if You hear me, we as a house, and all of the body need love, Love from You, and love of one another, that we can be one My God, Your blood, flowed out of Love out of concern out of justification for those needing justification, making You both the Judge and the Justifier that You may be feared Acquit of my sins before my enemies let them snarl at me and let vindicate in their presence but let my face shine with Your Glory Give me of You my God, and fill me up to the very brim my God, let them see You and not me, for what do I have to offer but my body as a vessel of Your Holy Spirit © 2013 Mgfos2 |
