Winter

Winter

A Poem by Madi

winter
the air pierces her skin like a splinter
before she knows it she has a river of tears that give her shivers
the pain makes her so bitter
why was she always the giver
why did he have to quit her
like a serial printer
her emotions come pouring as fast as a sprinter
nothing left to say she sat quivering
from the sun she gets a sliver of hope delivered
