Why is the ocean salty?

The neverending salt that burns

Stings, gives life

Gives happiness

It’s filled with the tears from our generation

Tears of fear and pain and abandonment

It’s filled with the tears of all generations since the beginning of time

The ocean is salty because like life it is bigger than us

It can’t be controlled,

Contained

It’s filled with stories and history

And tears

Life is filled with tears

But life is also beautiful and rich

And so is the ocean

The ocean is salty because it comes from the rocks above

And below the sea
