For sale: Free Will. Never used.A Poem by EpipsychologistRemember that every single one of your ancestors fell in love and hated. Every one of them had to live a life and die like you doRomance is a revolt against expectations. So why aren’t you sickened, By yourself, by others, by the world, When they say, “This is how it’s supposed to be?” And you agree. Fences aren’t a thing for me. Stop lights and signs are just guidelines, And I drive fine without them. So why would you say, “It’s not supposed to be this way?” Like that’s a f*****g thing. Go home to a different country. Grab some money and waste it on someone else. Get a job that didn’t exist before you created it and call yourself an entrepreneur. But don’t tell me behind closed doors that this world’s good enough. Don’t tell me to be more reserved because I’m not a spot, and I’m not waiting to be used. And the next time you “suppose” you shouldn’t, Remember that every single one of your ancestors fell in love and hated. Every one of them had to live a life and die like you do, And all they got out of it was those moments When they stepped out from where they were “supposed to be,” Into the traffic of possibilities, Rushing and crushing as chances are, And they felt something different. © 2013 EpipsychologistAuthor's Note
