My Secret GateA Poem by MeyokoI read a story once and it was about a secret gate that only a few people knew about inside someone, so i let people into one of my secret gates.
I wonder through this garden, a place I've been before.
This is my secret gate to my garden where I only have the key to the door. You're here, just as you should be with your eyes all a glow And right now that's all I want and for if I'll see you again... I shall never know. I spin and twirl so carefree and so light, That we dance so gracefully that we carry on into the night. Lights dance upon the silvery lake that holds a certain magical hue, For soon I know I am to wake even though I wish not to. Is this evil of me to keep you all for myself, As though you were a prized possession or a book upon my shelf? A light breeze blows tangled with a gentle breeze in the air, Turning around with a whirl I look to find that you're not there. Alone again, as I've always been before, But now I want it, I want to sleep and dream forever more. A tug at my heart lets me know that you're still there, Gentle kisses, touches, and gentle whispers against my soft hair. I go on wishing that every day will not pass me by, That this beauty that I find and dream of cannot be a lie. Sighing a content sigh, I stop and take it in, And lock the door to my secret garden I was in. And in all my days and nights of wandering aimlessly, I often stop to wonder if this is all that is to become of me. Melissa Busig October 2009 © 2010 Meyoko |
