Chains

Chains

A Poem by Serena

Past

Present

Future

All are spun into a web of chains

Link by link they grow

Bringing more of the icy pain with it

The tears fall endlessly

Where no one can see

Freezing my heart to the core

The chains tighten as the years go by

Past

Present

Future

All are spun into a web chains

Link by Link they cut deeper

Link by Link they embrace me

The pain never ends

Nor do my screams of inner sorrow

The screams that no one hears

The screams that evade salvation

My chains grow link by shiny link

Sticking, Twisting, Probing my core

Pain is left

And nothing else

Link by shiny link

I hate that your past and present are hurting you so badly. I hope you can break free of the links and find happiness in your future, assuming that you are talking about yourself. I hope that other people in situations like this break free of there links to. I love this because I know what it feels like to be trapped in what is going on around me.
