More Than You'll Ever Know

I wrote this for my crush who was going through a rough time at the creation of this poem. Hope it helps people that are struggling as much as it helped him.

Stronger than you’ll ever know.

Brighter than the northern star.

 

The voices whisper familiar greetings

Dimming your once bright light

Yet, you are stronger than you’ll ever know.

 

The winds stop blowing,

And the tides recede.

Yet, they always pick up their eternal dance.

You are stronger than you’ll ever know, my darling.

 

The voices chip away at your defenses.

Blinding you to the people silently holding you up

Waiting for you to be able to pick up your sword.

You are stronger than you’ll ever know.

 

I know the voices sound nice my dear,

But they are just that. Voices.

I wish you could see the way you light up a room.

You are truly stronger than you’ll ever know.
