WaitingA Poem by SerenaDarkness clouds my vision, as I lay on the frozen ground
Blood seeps from reopened wounds, but none see my pain
His voice mocks me, yet I can only lay there
The pain never comes, no matter how many times the knife enters my body
I am numb
The tears refuse to fall, locked away they laugh at my pain as I beg from their gentle caress
He does nothing, laughing as he walks away
Day and night, he haunts me as I lay on that bed of ice
Darkness clouds my vision, and I await Death's kiss © 2023 SerenaFeatured Review
