Chapter 9; Flower Crowns and Mew’s Birthday

Chapter 9; Flower Crowns and Mew’s Birthday

A Chapter by Samantha Doyle

Today was a day Mew was really waiting for. It was Mew’s birthday. She was now 19 years old. Mew woke up from her bed. She smiled at the thought of everyone gathering around and singing happy birthday. She heard a knock on the door.

“Come in!” She shouted a bit from her bed since she didn’t feel like getting up.

“Happy birthday!” Her mom, dad, stepdad, and brothers cheered. They made her breakfast in bed.

“I hope you have a happy birthday Mew!” Victor, Mew’s derpy and memey dad. He handed her breakfast and embraced her.

“Same.” Yami, Kurayami’s dad, said. Mew was happy that her family congratulated her on her birthday. She was more excited to see what Crow would do for her birthday this year. She was going on a picnic date today with Crow, but it would have lots of flowers, so she went to her best friend Auriana. She also taught Mew how to make flowers crowns.

“Crow! This way!” She said while tightly grasping his hand and running to the field.

“Slow down!” He said while chuckling. Mew got out the blanket and accidentally let it go, making it fly away. She furiously chased it as Crow laughed. She then laid it down and immediately put the picnic basket down on it so Mew wouldn’t have to chase after it again. Crow made some peanut butter sandwiches since he wasn’t a great cooker and felt bad about making Mew make them something for their date.

“Are they good?” He trembled with fear of them tasting bad.

“They’re perfect! Either way, as long as it’s me and you, I’ll be happy.” She beamed. Crow blushed a bit which was a rare sight for Mew. After they finished up their sandwiches, Crow was getting ready to leave. Mew had other plans.

“Leave the stuff here, and help me pick some poppies.” Mew asked. Crow looked a bit confused but he did it anyways. He looked at what a poppy looked like then picked as many as possible. Mew secretly snagged a couple of roses as well. Then, they headed back to the blanket with the picnic basket. Mew got to work with using the poppies and a rose to make Crow a flower crown while Crow watched in awe. After Mew was done she placed the crown of flowers on Crow’s head. He blinked a couple of times.

“What’s this?” He questioned.

“A flower crown. Do you not… like it?” She tilted her head with sadness in her eyes, bracing herself for a possibile disliking to her hard work.

“What? Of course not! It’s really pretty actually,” He beamed the brightest smile Mew had ever seen Crow make “This is really why I love you…” Mew went a little red and covered her face a little.

“Can I make you a flower crown?” He asked. Mew then showed him what to get.

“You can get any except a black rose. That means the end of a relationship. I would suggest getting a black onyx odyssey.” She showed him pictures of what to get and what not to get. A couple minutes later, he came back with a lot of flowers in his hands. Mew helped him make the flower crown, then he was able to finish it by himself.

“Where did you learn how to make flower crowns, anyway?” He asked as he put on the finished flower crown. It had black onyx odysseus and also a red rose in it.

“I asked Auriana, by the way, maybe we can ask her to make our flower crowns stay nice forever, she’s a flower goddess, after all.” She suggested. They slowly made their way to Auriana’s.

“Ah, Mew and Crow! I know just what your here for!” She cheered. She then used her powers to make the flowers stay in bloom forever. Mew and Crow went home and enjoyed their flower crowns.
