Bears Around Me

Bears Around Me

A Poem by Methmi Mandara

Most around me are bears
When I cuddle them without
Knowing them as bears
They are Teddy Bears
I see their faults
Know they are bears
And tried to teach when I could not bear
But, they pounce at me
Being Wild Bears

Lions are cruel,
Always I know
Rabbits are innocent,
Always I trust
Then, it comes to bears
My eyes are bare
When they become Teddy Bears
One second...
They are wild bears
Making me fall into a snare

Odd how teddy bears can rapidly become wild bears. I don't think rabbits are all that innocent, though. Before you know it, they outnumber you.
