Rewind to the Future

Rewind to the Future

A Poem by Metaphantom
"

lyrics plain as they flow out of me today

"

Sip from the fountain of youth, doubting the truth

Invented death a long time ago, awake the recluse

Shouting in native tongue scouting the many hostiles

Over mountains of troops they come preaching their gospels

All liars, no kings, no sires, empire’s walls disintegrate

Fall to the inner place of a sinners face then integrate

So much of a bitter taste fast forward to twitters space

All I see is cyber litter, over caffeinated left a jitters trace

Posting with minimal thought, criminal plots, cynical / when -

You’re in the middle the fiddler on the roof of the pentacle / grim -

Critical loss, vivid show no timid pitiful got rid of the riddles / then

Skepticism, and ridicule because of being different and belittled / trend -

Rewind, back that’s what happen in a flash, 100 yard dash reversed

More like a 100 years, now always here but everything is rehearsed

We need to do the research, watch the stock bubble double burst

Royal rumble first, then everyone can come with troubled verse

Author's Note

Metaphantom
I do what I do, some like it some don't but it is evolving into something the more I write, contemplating a Novel actually about a futuristic poet from the past that writes in a hip hop fashion in the 1600's I presume, but very erotic tones about it being a love story as well. So my mind is opening to things as never before -
