Expectation Damage

Expectation Damage

A Poem by Metaphantom
"

A poem about one wanting the other in a relationship to change, when expectations just damage relationships period. Love someone for who they are, always.

"
You have Excessive patience, if you're awaiting changes,

Acceptance is vacant, with your expectations,

The lesson is basic, this is the next best relation,

But my ship is sinking, thinking I settled we stationed,

We anchored and for years thought it could work,

When you set sail again without me it would hurt,

However, I am better off without you now I'm stronger,

And you can't point out my flawless imperfections any longer.....
