Inner Demons

Inner Demons

A Poem by MetalShopGurl
"

This is a poem i wrote off the top of my head sitting in my school library.

"

This is my last tale,

Of bombs bursting on a massive scale.

I hear the screams all around,

I shield myself close to the ground.

I know they're coming for me,

I just hope they can't see.

Trying to stay out of sight,

I start to prepare for the fight.

They are a part of me I know,

Just the part that doesn't show.

They're always in the back,

Just waiting to attack.

These emotions i can't control,

Always swallowing me whole.

Trying to stay out of sight,

Hoping people don't notice this fight.

I wage this all on my own,

It has never been shown.

But you see through this mask i wear,

Finally to someone I can share.

You understand me,

Finally someone can see,

This war I hold inside.

Finally I don't have to hide.

I wonder who has seen through your mask?
Good job. I can say I relate to all of your poems.
