Won't You Smile For Me?

Won't You Smile For Me?

A Poem by MetalShopGurl

I want to fill your world with happiness,
And I want to fill your world with light.
You've lived too long in the shadows of time,
And I want to see you smile.
Won't you smile for me?

You protect me with your life,
The least I can do is make you smile.
You fight the world of darkness,
And it is a part of you, I know.
Won’t you smile for me?

I want to fill your world with happiness,
And I want to fill your world with light.

You’ve lived too long in the shadows of time,

And I want to see you smile.
Won’t you smile for me?

You seem so sad every day,
I want to take your sadness away.

Your pain fills every second,
I will take all your pain away.

Won’t you smile for me?

I want to fill your world with happiness,
And I want to fill your world with light.

You’ve lived too long in the shadows of time,

And I want to see you smile.

Won’t you smile for me?

“I belong here,” you said to me,

And you walk with those shadows every day.

I will take your shadows away,
And replace them with light.

Won’t you smile for me?

You walk with the shadows, I know,

But that doesn’t mean you can’t smile,

And that doesn’t mean you don’t deserve light.

I will make you happy,

Just smile for me.
