Light, Within The Dark

Dawn of a new day,
A new chapter, new memory
Etched into our minds,
Moments that have passed us by
Pieces of life's existence,
Origin, our history revealed

Curtains being raised,
On decisions we've made
Course we've plotted,
Destination unknown
Only through our actions,
Will our legacy be defined

Perseverance,
Despite our struggles
Their unrelenting,
Attempts to bring us down
Watching intensely,
As they squirm with fear
The harsh realization,
They're not in control

Like soldiers at war,
Navigating minefields
We must allow,
The light to penetrate
The darkness
To carry us,
Beyond the threshold
To cleanse,
Our bleeding hearts
Expunge,
The chaos from our lives

Shades of misery,
Having been lifted
Winds of doubt,
No longer blowing
Our perspective,
Becoming clearer
With nothing,
Impeding our progress

Like surgical steel,
The blade slices through their lies
Exposing the truth,
Evil empire, brought to its knees
Purging society,
Of its toxic filth

Deadly poison,
Strangling its mind

Allowing everyone,
To escape the violence
Tyranny,
And oppression
Blind hatred,
Consuming the world
