Lonely Goodbyes.

 

 

 

I have fallen for two boys, I can't choose sides

What can one do when their whole world divides?

My heart broken in half, they each hold a piece

They have left me with nothing, not even a secret release

But surely in the end I will have something

For I have God, my one and only King.

 

They say as time goes on the pain will fade

But the hands on that clock cut like a blade

My hope seems to vanish with the hours

As my eyes shed like showers

All because you say you love me,

You said you'll always be here for me

But where are you when I need you the most?

I doubt that we're still close.

 

Yes, it's true, I've become friends with another guy

He makes me smile and a little bit shy

But I can act myself without regret

I can even speak without needing to fret

Feeling completely comfortable in what I do,

Whereas when I'm with you I really do turn blue.

 

I can't see you, I can't even feel you anymore

Talking to you just feels like a chore

I'm sorry, I never meant to adore two boys

Don't take me wrong, I know they're not toys

Why does my heart skip a beat when I'm with him?

I can't believe how quickly things turned grim

My stomach churns at the thought of you,

I'm sorry but I think I really am through.

 

I saw the way he looked at me within that brief moment

The way his blue eyes shone without signs of torment

He looked at my lips, and I just turned away

Because I never really did want to betray

Now as I am growing up, I have to learn

I need to face my problems, no matter how stern.

 

So yes, it is true

I'm facing something that happens to only a few
