"Guess what," I suddenly said, breaking the silence that filled the atmosphere as I tried not to smile.

"What?" my best friend, Amanda asked me.

She looked up from her computer, most likely tearing her eyes away from her precious boy; her precious Joe Jonas.

"I'm going to get you to that Jonas concert of yours. I'm going to be requesting the night off of work when I stop by on the way home tonight," I stated in a matter-of-fact voice.

"Really?" Amanda asked, quickly sitting up to lean over her computer. "You're really going to get me there?"

I nodded, smiling at her.

"I promised you I would, didn't I?" I replied, laughing a bit.

Amanda's face lit up, a smile stretching from ear to ear. Anything about the Jonas boys could make that girl smile, brighten up her day no matter how terrible it had been. All you had to do was get her to watch some random Jonas videos on YouTube and she'd be smiling again, especially if you made her watch Joe dancing to Single Ladies in a leotard. God, was she addicted to that video.

"If you get me to that Jonas concert, I'll get you to see Tokio Hotel," Amanda vowed, nodding her head. "I swear it."

I laughed, leaning back in my seat next to her bed.

"Yeah, you probably will," I acknowledged. "But I'll be the one paying for it, like always."

"I'll go out and get a job."

"You're willing to get off your lazy bum and do something progressive?"

"Only for you, yes," Amanda laughed. "I feel bad that you always pay to come visit me and then spend all your money getting us places to do fun stuff."

I shrugged, showing that I didn't really care.

"You're my best friend," I said, smiling at her. "I don't mind spending my money on my friends."

"Yeah, but I still feel...what's the word I'm looking for? You know, where you feel like you owe it to the person or something like that?" Amanda asked, titling her head.

"Obligated?"

"Yes! Obligated," Amanda quickly nodded before continuing. "I feel obligated to paying you back. I know you would pay me back if I ever lent you money."

"That's true, but you're the only person I don't ask to pay me back."

"And yet I'm the only one who ever does," Amanda muttered. "I can't believe that Casey girl skipped town without paying you back all that money. And to think she was using it all to buy herself weed."

"I know, but that's the world we live in." I sighed. "Sadly."

Amanda nodded in agreement. It was true that I had a tendency to spend my money on my friends, but I had smartened up and cut people off. No one was paying me back, so why should I have continued to lend out my money until I was broke? Now I only spent my money on Amanda; I knew I could trust her to spend it on something she really wanted instead of wasting it. And she was always determined to pay me back...somehow.

"So, any idea how much they cost to get backstage?" I asked.

Amanda stared at me, her mouth open slightly.

"You want to get me backstage?" she whispered.

"If I can afford it, yes," I answered, nodding my head. "You know I meant it when we were at the train station back in February talking about it."

"Dude, if you get me backstage and get me to meet my Jonas boy, I'll do everything I can to get you backstage to meet your Billa-boy," Amanda declared. "Still feel weird calling him that, by the way. Especially where he's your Billa-boy."

I laughed and shook my head.

"You're weird," I sighed. "But I appreciate the thought."

"And I mean it, too. What you do for me, I'll do for you," Amanda promised.

"Will I get to call you my butler if I get you to meet your dream boy?" I asked. "Like legitimately?

"Um, yeah," Amanda laughed.

"Good," I said while getting comfortable in my seat. "If I get in trouble with my mom for anything, I'm blaming you."

"What?"

"Hey, that''s what the butler is there for," I laughed. "To do the chores and stuff. So, if they don't get done and I get yelled at, I get to blame you."

"We live an hour away from each other...and that's when driving," Amanda whined. "Do you know how long it would take me to walk?"

"Don't walk," I said. "I don't want your asthma to kill you because you were trying to get to my house."

Amanda simply sighed, rolling her eyes.

"So, do we have a deal?" I asked, smiling up at Amanda again.

"Of course we do," Amanda answered. "Just like we've planned for the last two years; you get me to my Jonas show, I get you to your Tokio Hotel show."

"And do I still get to call you my butler if I get us backstage?" I asked. "You can call me your butler if you get me backstage to meet the guys of Tokio Hotel."

Amanda thought about it for a minute, rubbing her chin slowly. I don't know why she was bothering to think about it; probably to see how long it would take for me to get impatient. I wasn't in a very patient mood, though.

"Well?" I asked, letting out a sigh.

"Yeah, we still have a deal," Amanda answered. "I can't wait to see my Joey boy perform...especially with the boys splitting up after this tour..."

Amanda went quiet and went back to looking at her computer, most likely to watch some more Jonas videos and look up weird pictures. I sighed, getting up from my seat.

"Krystel is going to be here soon to get me, so I should start packing up my stuff," I muttered. "I'll swing by work and request the night off. Tickets go on sale this weekend, right?"

"Yeah," Amanda answered. "Saturday at three."

"Alright. I'll be online to get them the second they go on sale," I promised. "Tokio Hotel tickets go up for sale this weekend too, so be sure to have nothing planned for those two nights."

"Alright, love."

"Help me get my stuff together," I laughed as I tossed my pillow at her. "I don't want Krystel to flip a lid when I get outside. It's bad enough I'm having her swing by my work for me."

"Alright, alright," Amanda replied, throwing the pillow back at me.

She got off her bed, setting her computer down, and helped me gather my things. Krystel was outside waiting for me by time we were done, so Amanda walked me to the car. Her new puppy, Dharma, had tried to follow us outside, but Amanda's mom kept her inside.

"Write more of your story," I said. "I need to know what happens next; I'm seriously addicted to it, as pathetic as that is."

"Only if you write more of yours," Amanda replied. "I'm addicted to your three stories."

I laughed and nodded, giving Amanda a hug before getting in the front seat. The both of us were always writing, putting off our school work for our stories. They were all fan-fics for anime shows and for bands, but our readers loved them. I considered most of my stories as practice since I wanted to be a writer when I got older, though some have suggested that I get into journalism.

"Can we go now," my sister asked, sounding annoyed. "I want to go to bed when we get home."

I glanced at Krystel before looking back at Amanda who had stuck her tongue out at Krystel. We all knew Amanda was just trying to be a pain; Krystel rolled her eyes, shaking her head. It was amazing that I was younger than Amanda, yet she was the one always acting like a kid.

"Bye Amanda," I smiled. "Love you."

"Bye Nicole," Amanda replied, returning the smile. "I love you too."
