Chapter Seventeen

Chapter Seventeen

A Chapter by Neeeks!

Ingrit and Amanda made their way to the very front as people left to go buy merchandise or get something to eat and drink from the bar in the back. It was going to be about fifteen minutes before the stage was ready but Ingrit didn't plan on leaving the front until the very end of the show.

"Hey, Inkers," Amanda pouted as she held onto her friend. "I has to go potty."

Ingrit looked at Amanda and blinked.

"One of us has to stay here so that we don't lose our spot," she said. "The bathrooms are right in the back. When you come back, walk along the wall; it's easier to get back up here than trying to cut through the crowd."

Amanda nodded and turned, quickly heading back to the restrooms. Ingrit watched her until she was out of sight before turning to see if she could see any of the band members through the slight break in the side curtain. She saw Matthew talking to someone as equipment was rolled passed him, but he soon walked out of her sight.

It didn't take Amanda long to finish her business and get back to Ingrit, but Ingrit wasn't paying any attention to her so she jumped when Amanda suddenly popped up next to her.

"That only took you forever," Ingrit laughed. "What took ya?"

"It did not," Amanda replied. "Apparently someone named Benny was in the girls bathroom. Said so on the wall."

Ingrit laughed and shook her head.

"Makes you wonder," she sighed. "But once you start wondering, you don't want to wonder anymore because you really don't want to know."

Ingrit straightened up, backing away from the barrier, and handed Amanda her purse and camera.

"My turn," she said with a smile. "Don't give this spot up for anyone."

"Yes, ma'am!" Amanda said, saluting Ingrit before she turned to face the stage.

Ingrit laughed and quickly ran to the bathroom. People were already starting to head back to the stage since Green Day was going to be on in less than ten minutes. She didn't want to have to push her way through an entire crowd, so she hoped that people would be delayed with getting their merchandise.

Amanda was still in the same place Ingrit had left her as Ingrit struggled to get through the crowd a few minutes later. Amanda saw her coming but didn't turn her head to acknowledge her. Ingrit squeezed between a couple people before reaching Amanda, letting out a sigh. She tried to stand next to Amanda, but Amanda scooted in front of her.

"Excuse me," Ingrit said. "What are you doing?"

"I was told to not give this spot up to anyone." Amanda answered.

"Anyone but me, jerk." Ingrit said, playfully pushing Amanda before she tried to stand next to her.

"Nope, sorry," Amanda replied. "Name's not on the list."

"What?"

"Huh?"

"What are you talking about?"

"I'm talking about the fork that ran away with the spoon. They got hitched, you know. And then the knife came, had its way with the chair and killed the table when he found out that the the plate was having an affair and that he had been screwing his cousin, the napkin. You see, he didn't know that they were related. And then the cat and dog came in, all in their booty-nakedness, danced on the dead table before...um, yeah..." Amanda answered with an innocent face, acting as if what she was saying was that of an everyday conversation. "Why? What are you talking about?"

"Please tell me they didn't screw on the dead table. That's just gross."

"Ew, no. That's when the cow came in and joined them, doing the moonwalk with Omnibus playing in the background," Amanda said with a firm nod.

Ingrit blinked in confusion before shaking her head.

"Would you just move over?" she asked.

Amanda laughed and moved out of Ingrit's way, allowing her friend to stand next to her at the barrier.

"You know you love me," Amanda laughed. "Always have, always will."

"Sometimes I question myself," Ingrit sighed, smirking when she saw the pout on Amanda's face. "But you know you love me too."

That has got to be randomest thing I've ever up here! I love it! I was reading it and I was thinking "The knife had its way with the chair? I didn't know inanimate objects could do that!" XD
