Chapter Fifteen

Chapter Fifteen

A Chapter by Neeeks!

Bodies pressed against Ingrit and Amanda as they tried to maneuver their way to the front, getting crushed together or being threatened by separation. Amanda was determined to stay with Ingrit, refusing to let go of her friends arm as they got closer to the stage. Everyone in the mosh pit was jumping back and forth, slamming into one another. Ingrit looked back at Amanda when she had gotten as close to the stage as she could, pulling her friend forward until they were standing next to each other.

"Isn't this great?" Ingrit asked, raising her voice so that Amanda could hear her over the music and screams.

"Definitely."

"Thanks for convincing me to borrow Krystel's car."

"What?"

"Thanks for convincing me to borrow Krystel's car," Ingrit repeated, laughing.

"Oh! No problem, love." Amanda smiled.

The girls still had their arms linked as people moshed around them. They smiled as the vibrations from the music ran through them, the lights flashing quickly overhead. The lights flashed together before dimming slowly as the song being played finished, the crowd cheering louder, some screaming out names of songs they wanted to hear.

"I love having a full house," Matthew Bellamy, the singer and guitarist, said. "It really does make me happy to see everyone willing to take time off to come see us. Now, how many of you actually came all this way to see us?"

Loud screams were heard throughout the room, but it didn't sound like everyone was screaming. Maybe half of the crowd, maybe a little more.

"I know you all came out to see me," Christopher Wolstenholme, the bassist, piped up.

"They definitely came to see me." Matthew replied.

Girls were screaming to the band, some holding up the signs they had made. Some were trying to get closer to the stage, crushing Ingrit and Amanda closer together as they were forced to move forward. Christopher was looking down at his bass as he strummed a few random notes before looking up at the crowd.

Dominic Howard hit a couple beats on the drums before stopping, making the crowd scream. He did it again, playing a couple more beats, making the crowd scream louder. The three looked at each other for a few seconds, seconds that seemed to stretch for minutes with each heartbeat and scream coming from the crowd.

"Sing along if you now the words," Matthew said with a smile just seconds before the band started playing another song.

Ingrit instantly recognized the song, singing along since it was one of her favorites; Resistance.

"Is our secret safe tonight, and are we out of sight? Will our world come tumbling down? Will they find our hiding place, is this our last embrace? Or will the world stop caving in?" the crowd sang as loudly as they could, singing in sync with the band.

People screamed, jumped and sand along. Bodies crashed into one another as more people began to mosh, and it wasn't long before people were body surfing. Amanda was still holding onto Ingrit's arm as the girls jumped in union with everyone else in the crowd.

"Love is our resistance. They'll keep us apart, they won't stop breaking us down. Hold me. Our lips must always be sealed," they sang. "If we live out life in fear, I'll wait a thousand years just to see you smile again."

Ingrit had long since taken her camera out, taking pictures of the band and the crowd around her. She didn't want to risk recording the show just yet. Not with staff members standing only ten or so feet behind her. Until she was able to get right up front, pictures were going to have to do.

The mosh pit sounds really... dangerous, but fun! I've always wanted to be in a mosh pit, but I'm too scared to! Great chapter! It's very realistic! :D
